We all have the place where we feel most comfortable. It seems stress-free. It’s the place where we feel safe and secure. It’s the place we like to be. There’s no risk involved. Or is there? Here’s the problem, there may be a greater risk to staying where you are than to stepping out of your comfort zone. We would know this to be true if we were in a burning building, right? When you decide to step out of your comfort zone, there is risk involved. So, here’s an exercise you can do. It will help you when it comes to stepping out of your comfort zone. Ask yourself a question. What will happen if I take a step? Think of the possibilities. You might improve your English. You could pass that test. You may get into the university of your choice. You just might find your dream job! Then, ask another question. What will happen if I don’t take a step? Here’s the answer: nothing. Nothing will happen. You’ll stay stuck. So, evaluate the risk and take the first step… out of your comfort zone.
